Black Dog Inn, The Bed and Breakfast of Champions!

The Black Dog Inn Congratulates Annie Laurie on her winning the Championship award, along with Libby winning the children 14-17 Reserve Champion award!

Each year, Estes Park Colorado has the Hunter Jumper Festival Horse show at the Stanley Park Fairgrounds. It is a fun and exciting 5 day event for the participants as well as the spectators.

Our horse show guests love the convenience of us being walking distance to the fairgrounds, as well as enjoying the comforts of our Inn. Each morning we loved hearing about how their day went while they enjoyed their hot, gourmet three-course breakfast. They appreciated a different breakfast each morning and we all delighted in the jovial atmosphere. It was such a pleasure to be a part of Annie Laurie's and Libby adventure and cheer them on each day as they came back with more wins. We look forward to next year's arrival of all the wonderful participants and spectators of the horse show.

Dear Black Dog Inn,

Home away from home. The perfect setting to relax after a day of showing. Two-minute drive to fairgrounds. Made it so easy if we forgot something or wanted to check on the horses. The breakfasts fueled us for the whole day. Nothing you could come up with would even compare!

Fishing!
Fly fishing and lake fishing around beautiful Estes Park
While in Estes Park we suggest local activities and attractions such as horseback riding, historical touring including MacGregor Ranch and Stanley Museum and, gallery tours, fly fishing, hiking, white water rafting, and golf in the summer. In the winter season, there is snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and only 1 hour to downhill skiing in Eldora, CO.

Other day trips include Blackhawk and Central City casinos, Antiquing, and Microbrewery tours in Fort Collins, Loveland,Longmont and Boulder.

Of course if there is time, a trip across the Continental Divide to Grand County is a must do adventure. The YMCA of the Rockies offers programs, and the series of lectures offered by the Park Service is always a treat.

Keep an eye on the Calendar of Events for Estes Park and on EnjoyEstesPark.com, Lyons and Boulder as there are always cultural arts events, music and exhibitions to entertain.
